Assembly Procedure
1. Apply ATF to the new seal rings and sliding surface of the input shaft.
2. Compress the seal rings as shown in the figure. Then install the seal rings to the input shaft.
3. Apply ATF to the bearing race.
4. Install the bearing race to the input shaft.
CAUTION:
z
Do not expand the seal ring too much.
z
Be careful not to shorten the seal rings too much, when
installing the seal rings.
NOTE:
z
Verity that seal rings rotate smoothly after installing them.

CAUTION:
z
Apply grease to the mounting surface of the thrust washer so
that it does not drop when the front planetary gear component
is installed.
