DTCs.

Are other DTCs present?
Yes Go to appropriate DTC inspection.

Go to the next step.

INSPECT FUEL PUMP RELAY CONNECTOR
FOR POOR CONNECTION
z
Turn the ignition switch off.
z
Disconnect the fuel pump relay.
z
Inspect for poor connection (such as
damaged/pulled-out pins, corrosion).
z
Are there malfunction?
Yes
Repair or replace suspected part,
then go to Step 10.
No
Go to the next step.

INSPECT PCM CONNECTOR FOR POOR
CONNECTION
z
Turn the ignition switch off.
z
Disconnect PCM connector.
z
Inspect for poor connection (such as
damaged/pulled-out pins, corrosion).
z
Are there malfunction?
Yes
Repair or replace suspected part,
then go to Step 10.
No
Go to the next step.

INSPECT FUEL PUMP MONITOR CIRCUIT FOR
SHORT TO POWER SUPPLY
z
Turn the ignition switch to the ON position
(Engine off).
z
Measure voltage between the following terminals:
{
Fuel pump relay terminal D (wiring harness-
side) and body ground
{
fuel pump terminal B (wiring harness-side)
and body ground
z
Is voltage B+?
Yes
Repair or replace suspected part,
then go to Step 10.
No
Go to the next step.

INSPECT FUEL PUMP MONITOR CIRCUIT FOR
OPEN CIRCUIT
z
Turn the ignition switch off.
z
Inspect continuity between fuel pump terminal B
(wiring harness-side) and PCM terminal 1Q
(wiring harness-side).
z
Is there continuity?
Yes Go to the next step.
No
Repair or replace suspected part,
then go to Step 10.
