INSPECT MAF SENSOR
CONNECTOR FOR POOR
CONNECTION

Turn the ignition switch off.
z
Disconnect the MAF/IAT
sensor connector.
z
Inspect for poor connection
(such as damaged/pulled-out
pins, corrosion).
z
Are there any malfunction?
Yes Repair or replace suspected part, then go to Step 7.
No
Go to the next step.

INSPECT MAF SIGNAL
CIRCUIT FOR SHORT TO
POWER SUPPLY
z
Turn the ignition switch to the
ON position (Engine off).
z
Measure voltage between MAF
sensor terminal D (wiring
harness-side) and body ground.
z
Is voltage B+?
No Repair or replace suspected part, then go to Step 7.
Yes
Go to the next step.

INSPECT PCM CONNECTOR
FOR POOR CONNECTION
z
Turn the ignition switch off.
z
Disconnect PCM connector.
z
Inspect for poor connection
(such as damaged/pulled-out
pins, corrosion).

Are there any malfunction?
No Repair or replace suspected part, then go to Step 7.
Yes
