available?
Yes
Perform repair or diagnosis according to the
available Service Bulletins.

If the vehicle is not repaired, go to the next
step.
No
Perform the PCM reprogramming procedure. (See
PCM CONFIGURATION [MZI-3.7]
.)
Then go to the next step.

VERIFY RELATED PENDING CODE
OR STORED DTCs
z
Turn the ignition switch off then to
the ON position (Engine off).
z
Verify the related PENDING
CODE or stored DTCs using the M-
MDS.
Yes
Go to the appropriate DTC troubleshooting. (See
DTC TABLE [MZI-3.7]
.)
No
Go to the next step.

IDENTIFY TRIGGER DTC FOR
FREEZE FRAME DATA
z
Is DTC P2271 or P2273 on
FREEZE FRAME DATA?
Yes Go to the next step.
No
Go to the troubleshooting for the DTC on the
FREEZE FRAME DATA. (See
DTC TABLE
[MZI-3.7]
.)

INSPECT REAR HO2S
z
For DTC P2271 Inspect the rear
HO2S(RH)
z
For DTC P2273 Inspect the rear
HO2S(LH)

z
Is there any malfunction?
Yes
Inspect the related wiring harnesses.
If there is no malfunction, replace the HO2S. (See
REAR HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (HO2S)
REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZI-3.7]

No
Go to the next step.

VERIFY TROUBLESHOOTING OF
DTC P2271, P2273 HAS BEEN
COMPLETED
z
Verify that all disconnected
connectors are reconnected.
z
Turn the ignition switch to the ON
position (Engine off).
z
Clear the DTC from the PCM
memory using the M-MDS.
z
Perform no load racing at the engine
speed of 2,500-3,500 rpm for 60s or

Replace the PCM, then go to the next step. (See
