TMP- 4.3.0 -250 LEAKING / ISOLATE DIALYSATE LINES
a) Trace the to and from dialyzer lines to where they attach to the rear
of the machine.
b) INSIDE the machine, clamp the clear (non-braided) tubing, at BOTH
dialysate line connectors.
c) Can you achieve -250 mmHg and HOLD it (+/- 15 mmHg per minute)
now?
Yes
-250 mmHg achieved and HOLDS!
IMPORTANT!
Remove the clamps then see
(page 468).
No --250 cannot be achieved and / or held! FIVE (5) possibilities,
1)
Leaking dialyzer quick
connectors and/or O-rings;
2)
Leaking external flow indicator fittings;
3
) Leaking optional
fluid sample port;
4)
Leaking dialyzer line connections at the rear of the machine;
5)
Leaking external dialysate line filter O-ring/housing.
