Precautions before use
CAUTION
Medical decisions must not only be based on
information from The Diascan function, as there
are many other factors which should be taken into
account.
CAUTION
The Diascan function can be used in HD mode, double
needle treatment. It can be used when performing
single needle treatment but, the accuracy of machine
measurement may be compromised. The same is valid
for pro fi ling of sodium and bicarbonate, whereas the
measurement accuracy is not affected when using linear
pro fi ling of ultra fi ltration rate. If pro fi ling is active, the
pro fi ling values (conductivity and/or UF rate) will be
frozen during the Diascan step.
The Diascan function cannot be used in combination
with Isolated UF or in combination with UF pro fi ling in
steps or intervals. In any of these cases the machine will
generate an attention alarm telling the operator that the
Diascan function is not available.
During an ongoing Diascan measurement check, certain
operator's actions will interrupt the measuring process
and the machine will automatically reschedule measuring
as soon as possible.
However, if two Diascan measurement checks in a
row have been interrupted by the following actions, an
attention alarm is generated. The operator is requested to
con fi rm that the measurement check has been interrupted
by pressing the Select key , and the machine will
automatically reschedule measuring as soon as possible.
