Make sure the blood pump segment collars are outside the

pump housing.

If manually threaded

Place and hold the blood pump segment in the way shown

in the corresponding

gure.

Press on the blood pump segment at the point shown

in the

gure before turning the blood pump rotor in an

anti-clockwise direction. This is to hold the segment collar

outside the pump housing while threading it.

Continue turning the blood pump rotor in an anti-clockwise

direction, while holding the segment, to thread the segment

through the blood pump. The pins on the blood pump rotor,
pointed out as

in the

gure, hold the segment in place.
