Dialysis Fluid Tubes - Attach
The dialysis fl uid tubes may be attached to the dialyzer when the
function check is complete, i.e. "F.Ch" disappears from the Time
Display and the bypass path of the Flow Diagram lights up. The
Fluid bypass button will start to fl ash and when pressed, the supply
of dialysis fl uid will be activated.
The dialysis fl uid preparation is complete (correct conductivity level
has been reached) when the bypass path on the Flow Diagram lights up
green. If the dialysis fl uid tubes are attached to the safety couplings of
the machine at that moment, the dialysis fl uid will start to circulate in
the dialysis fl uid tubes. If the dialysis fl uid tubes have been attached to
the dialyzer, the dialysis fl uid will enter the dialyzer.

If the optional Dialysis Fluid Filter (UFD) has been installed,
the dialysis fl uid tubes must remain connected to the safety
couplings until the bypass path of the Flow Diagram lights up
green. The machine performs a fl ush of the fl ow path where the
ultra fi lter is placed after “F.Ch” has disappeared from the Time
Display. This is to ensure that correct conductivity is reached
when the dialysis fl uid enters the dialyzer. There is a large
volume of fl uid passing through the dialysis fl uid tubes during
the fl ush. An attention alarm text is simultaneously shown on
the Information Display. Wait until the attention alarm text has
disappeared and the bypass path of the Flow Diagram lights up
green before disconnecting the dialysis fl uid tubes
