Connect the cables for critical reliability Expansion Port Networks (EPNs) as shown in Figure
121, Connections for High or Critical Reliability Systems, on page 387 and in Inter-Cabinet Cable
Connections on page 398.

Figure 122, Connections for High or Critical Reliability Systems, on page 388
NOTE:
The fiber optic cables are connected to the Main Distribution Frame (MDF) in Install
Telecommunications Cabling on page 403. Refer to Connecting and Handling Fiber Optic
Cables on page 763 for information about connecting to optical cross-connect hardware
and routing through lightguide equipment.

Connect the fiber optic cable.
The Customer Service Document (CSD) provides an “Inter-Cabinet Cable Running List.” Each
row on the list represents a cable connection. Use the running list to determine where to connect
each fiber optic cable.
CAUTION:
Do not route fiber optic cables and the B25A cables together.
For standard reliability fiber connections: see Figure 132, Connections to Standard Reliability
Systems, on page 399 for a sample cable routing.
For high reliability fiber connections: see Figure 133, Connections to High Reliability Systems,
on page 400 for a sample cable routing.
For Critical Reliability Fiber Connections: see Figure 134, Connections to Critical Reliability
Systems, on page 401 for a sample cable routing.

Route the fiber optic cable up toward the top of the cabinet. The excess cable should be looped
and draped from the B25A cable clamp on the top ground plate in the stack. See
Figure 131,
Single-Carrier Cabinet Fiber Routing, on page 398.

Dress the cable by tie wrapping it to the outside of the B25A cable clamp.
