The spurious signal can be eliminated by dividing the sweep range into two segments
with different LO settings:
●
In the low-frequency segment ranging up to the center frequency of the bandpass
filter, the frequency of the local oscillator is set to LO < RF. This setting ensures
that the spurious signal b'
2
is not measured at port 2.
●
In the high-frequency segment, starting at the center frequency of the bandpass fil-
ter, the frequency of the local oscillator is set to LO > RF. If the center frequency is
larger than B
+
– 2*IF, then there is no distortion from b'
2
.
Remote command:
9.13.3
Channel Bits Tab
Sets a channel-dependent 8-bit decimal value (0 ... 255) to control eight independent
output signals at the Aux. Port connector (lines 8 to 11 and 16 to 19).
Setting the channel bits does not change the analyzer state.
●
The Aux. Port is provided by the
option R&S
FPL1-B5. If the
"Additional Interfaces" plugin-unit is not detected, the "Channel Bits" tab is hidden.
●
Because the "Additional Interfaces" option is not available for the R&S
ZNLE, the
"Channel Bits" tab is always hidden on this instrument.
●
If the R&S
ZNL is equipped with the "Spectrum Analysis" option R&S
ZNL3|6-B1,
the VNA Aux. Port functionality can only be used if the "Additional Interfaces" plu-
gin-unit is set to the appropriate mode (see
Chapter 7.3.4.6, "Additional Interfaces"
Channel Bits (Decimal)
Entry of the 8-bit decimal value (0 ... 255) for the selected channel. The channel bits
control eight output signals at the Aux. Port connector. The signals are 3.3 V TTL sig-
nals which can be used to differentiate between up to 256 independent analyzer
states. For an application example, refer to the description of the remote-control com-
mand.
The decimal values have the following effect:
●
0 means that no output signals are enabled at any of the pins 8, 9, 10, 11 and 16,
17, 18, 19.
