The battery pack is not charged in the factory. The battery pack must be charged
before it is used the first time. A new battery pack or a battery pack which has not been
used for a longer time attains full capacity after several charge/ discharge cycles.
Charging should be performed at a constant ambient temperature as temperature var-
iations may cause the charger to be switched off too early.
Additional battery packs (R&S
FPL1-Z4)
In addition to the internal battery pack option (R&S
FPL1-B30), spare battery packs are
available for the R&S
ZNL (R&S
FPL1-Z4). You can exchange the batteries while the
R&S
ZNL is running, as long as one battery remains in the instrument. However, it is
not recommended that you operate the R&S
ZNL with only one battery for a longer
period. Additional battery packs can also be charged using the external battery charger
option R&S
FSV-B34.
