Wait for Trigger Polarity
In Spectrum operating mode, the optional AUX PORT connector of the R&S
ZNL can
provide a signal that indicates the instrument is ready to receive a trigger signal.
(For details on the connector see the R&S
ZNL Getting Started manual).
The signal polarity that indicates the trigger availability is configurable.
"Low"
A low signal (=
0
V) indicates the instrument is ready to receive a trig-
ger.
"High"
A high signal (=
5
V) indicates the instrument is ready to receive a
trigger.
Port Configuration
The Additional Interfaces provided by option R&S
FPL1-B5 can either be used by SA
channel setups (SA mode) or by VNA channel setups (VNA mode, default).
If the Spectrum Analysis option R&S
ZNL3|6-B1 is not installed, always the VNA mode
is used.
"SA (Aux 5
V)"
The Additional Interfaces can only be used by SA channel setups. In
particular the Aux. Port is configured as SA Auxiliary Port (5
V).
In this mode, VNA channel setups can not use the VNA User Port
functionality (trigger, channel bits, TTL signals, ...).
"VNA (User
Port 3.3
V)"
VNA channel setups can use the Aux. Port as VNA User Port (3.3
V).
For details on the connector see
on page 972.
In this mode, SA channel setups can't use
any
of the Additional Inter-
faces.
