FCoE Transit
To enable the FCoE Transit feature and configure FIP snooping, use the following Dell Networking Operating
System commands on the C9000 platform.
In a converged Ethernet network, a switch can operate as an intermediate Ethernet bridge to snoop on FIP
packets during the login process on Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) forwarders (FCFs). Acting as a transit
FIP snooping bridge, the switch uses dynamically created access control lists (ACLs) to permit only authorized
FCoE traffic to transmit between an FCoE end-device and an FCF.
