Specify that the IP address of an interface is the source IP address of Syslog packets sent to the Syslog server.

Syntax
logging source-interface
interface
To disable this command and return to the default setting, use the
no logging
source-interface
command.
Parameters
interface
Enter the following keywords and slot/port or number
information:
• For Loopback interfaces, enter the keyword
loopback
then a number from zero (0) to 16383.
• For the management interface on the RPM, enter the
keyword
ManagementEthernet
then the slot/port
information. The slot range is from 0 to 1 and the port
range is 0.
• For a Port Channel interface, enter the keywords
port-
channel
then a number. Tthe range is from 1 to 4096.
• For a ten-Gigabit Ethernet interface, enter the keyword
TenGigabitEthernet
then the slot/port information.
• For a 40-Gigabit Ethernet interface, enter the keyword
fortyGigE
then the slot/port information.
• For VLAN interface, enter the keyword
vlan
then a
number from 1 to 4094.
