debug ospf
Displays the information related to processing the Open Shortest Path
First (OSPF) protocol.
debug ospf ism
Displays the information related to the OSPF IP Interface State Machine.
debug ospf nms
Displays the information related to the OSPF Neighbor State Machine.
debug ospf lsa
Displays the information related to the OSPF Link State Advertisements.
debug ospf
packet
Displays the information related to the OSPF packets.
debug ospf te
Displays the information related to the OSPF-TE information.
show debug ospf
Displays the status of the Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) debug that are
currently activated in the router.
Enabling OSPF Debug Information
The
debug ospf
command, in Privileged (Enable) mode, displays the information related to
processing the Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) protocol. Use the
no
form of this command to
disable the display of OSPF information.
The OSPF debug commands will not be saved after reload.
Following is an example of the debug output when the
event
keyword is used:
Ospfd: 1993/01/01 01:59:49 : make_hello: options: 2, int: sw0:40.2.2.2
tOspfd: 1993/01/01 01:59:58 : Packet 40.2.2.0 [Hello:RECV]: Options *|*|-|-|-|-|

By default, the debug is disabled.

Argument Description
event
Sets debug for OSPF events.
nssa
Sets debug for OSPF NSSA information.
