If the user is downloading the configuration file to the start-up configuration, reload the
device by the reload no-save command for the configuration to be loaded. If the user is
connected to the device through Telnet, the Telnet session will be disconnected.
5.
When the device reboots, use the show running-config command to check the configuration
of the device.
Uploading a Configuration File Using TFTP
To upload a configuration file from the switch to a TFTP server, proceed as follows:
1.
Open the appropriate TFTP directory on the workstation.
2.
Log into the device through the console port or through a Telnet session.
3.
Upload the configuration file from the device to the TFTP server using the copy running-
config upload-to or copy startup-config upload-to command in Privileged (Enable) mode.
NOTE
The switch remains operational while uploading configuration files.
