Example
The following example shows how to remove ports from the VLAN named xxx. The result
displayed by the
show
command that can be applied in any Specific or Global VLAN
Configuration mode:

remove ports 1/1/1-1/1/4,1/1/12

Setting the Default Port VLAN (PVID)
The
add ports default
command, in Specific VLAN Configuration mode, assigns the configured
VLAN as PVID to the port(s) in the command argument.
The port PVID can also be changed by the
default vlan
command in Protocol Configuration mode.

add ports default PORT-LIST
Argument Description
PORT-LIST
One or more port numbers, specified by the following options:
•
UU/SS/PP
–a single port specified by unit, slot and port number, e.g. – 1/1/8;
•
UU
– all ports on the unit that is specified by a 1 or 2-digit unit number;
•
UU/SS
– all ports on the slot that is specified by unit and slot number;
•
A hyphenated range of ports, e.g. - 1/1/9-1/1/16;
•
Several port numbers and/or ranges, separated by commas, e.g. 1/1,1/1/11-
1/1/14,1/1/16.
Removing the Default Port VLAN (PVID)
The
remove ports
default
command, in Specific VLAN Configuration mode, removes the
specified ports’ PVID (port default VLAN).

remove ports default PORT-LIST
Including the CPU as a Member of the VLAN
The
add cpu-port
command, in Specific VLAN Configuration mode, includes the device itself as
a member of the VLAN. This feature enables the device to receive broadcast and multicast traffic
in the VLAN.
By default, the CPU is included as a member of the VLAN.
