Setting the Monitoring Time Period
The
period
command, in Monitoring Configuration mode, sets the time intervals at which the
indicator is polled for its status. The
no
form of the command resets the polling period to its default
value.

Argument Description
hour
Sets monitoring period in hour unit.
minutes
Sets monitoring period in minute unit.
seconds
Sets monitoring period in second unit.
value
The number of hours, minutes, or seconds between polling instances.
Valid values are <1-24> hours or <1-1440> minutes or <1-86400> seconds.
The default period for fan, port, or power supply monitoring is 60 seconds.
The default period for temperature monitoring is 20 seconds.
Example
The following example resets the fan monitoring period to the default 60 seconds:

Setting the Limit for Triggering Alerts
The
limit
command, in Monitoring Configuration mode, defines the limit value that triggers alert
notifications. The
no
form of the command restores the limit to the default value. Specifying a zero
value removes the limit.
