NOTES
1. The hardware rounds the values of the above arguments. These values are
written to the running configuration.
Rates and buffer reservation values are rounded to the ones accepted by the
hardware. Accurate shaping values can be read by referring to the running-
configuration or by using the show commands to display the parameters.
2. When configuring shapers for L2 schedulers or for network queues, the MBS
and CBS values must be higher than PIR /2000 and CIR/2000 (in KBytes).
3. When configuring shapers for L1 schedulers or for network ports, the MBS
and CBS values must be higher than PIR/10000 and CIR/10000 (in KBytes).
If these ratios are not observed, a warning message will appear.
Configuring Service L1/L2 Schedulers Shaping Profiles
The
shaper-profile
command, in HQoS Configuration mode, creates a shaper. The shaper can be
applied to service ingress/egress L1/L2 Schedulers. The
no
form of the command removes the
specified Scheduler Shaping Profile.

Argument Description
ingress
The shaper profile is applied to ingress L2 schedulers.
egress
The shaper profile is applied to egress L2 schedulers.
shaping-profile-id
The shaping profile ID that identifies the shaping profile.
For L1 service ingress/egress schedulers the shaping profile ID can be
in the range <3-16>.
For L2 service ingress/egress schedulers the shaping profile ID can be
in the range <65-216>.
cir
Specifies the Committed Information Rate value in the ranges:
For shapers applied on L1 schedulers - <80-1048575> kbps.
For shapers applied on L2 schedulers - <16-1048575> kbps.
pir
Specifies the Peak Information Rate value in the ranges:
For shapers applied on L1 schedulers - <80-1048575> kbps.
For shapers applied on L2 schedulers - <16-1048575> kbps.
cbs
Specifies the Committed Burst Size value in the range
<16-32767> KB.
mbs
Specifies the Maximum Burst Size value in the range <16-32767> KB.
