Syslog Facility
The Syslog message facilities are listed in
Table 3
.
A Syslog facility is a setting for the remote
Syslog server and is represented by a number between 0 and 23. Although all values are valid,
local use 6 or local use 7 are most commonly used by networking devices and they are
recommended.
