Enabling OSPF for a Specified Network
The
network
command, in Router OSPF Configuration mode, enables OSPF for the specified
network and assigns the specified area for the network. The
no
form of this command removes the
specified area from the network.
The user can assign multiple networks to the same area, by repeating the command for each
network. The user cannot assign the same network to more than one area.

Argument Description
A.B.C.D/M
OSPF network prefix.
A.B.C.D
Area ID in IP address format.

Area ID as a decimal value in the range <0-4228250625>.

The following commands assign two networks to area 100:

Setting an Alternative ABR Behavior
The
ospf abr-type
command, in Router OSPF Configuration mode, sets alternative ABR behavior.
The
no
form of this command resets the
standard
ABR behavior.
