VTY Terminal Commands
This section describes how the user can customize the VTY interfaces.

Specify the number of command lines that the switch CLI
displays on the terminal screen.

: The
terminal length
command is in View or in
Privileged (Enable) mode, and the
service terminal-length
command is in Global Configuration mode.
hostname
Sets the switch name.
service advanced-vty
Enables advanced mode VTY.

Changing the Terminal Length
The
terminal length
command, in View or in Privileged (Enable) mode, and the
service terminal-
length
command, in Global Configuration mode, specify the number of command lines displayed
on the terminal screen. The
no
form of the commands sets the terminal length to its default value
(25 lines). A value of zero removes the limit.
This configuration command applies to all VTY interfaces.
By default, the terminal length is 25 lines.
