Enabling/Disabling Sending of Event Notifications to Local
Syslog Daemon
The
efm-oam log-events
command, in Protocol Configuration mode, enables/disables sending of
event notification OAMPDUs to the local Syslog daemon. Thus, the logging of the local activity is
disabled. The
no
form of the command disables the event propagation to the local Syslog daemon.
If
the
efm-oam log-events
command is enabled then the efm related messages will appear and the
no efm-oam log-events
command will not disable them all, the received alerts (error thersholds)
will not be logged.
By default, the sending of the event notification OAMPDUs is enabled.

Setting OAMPDUs Priority
The
efm-oam priority
command, in Protocol Configuration mode, sets priority for the sent
OAMPDUs. The
no
form of this command resets the OAMPDUs priority to the default value.
By default the priority is null.
Command Syntax

Argument Description
<
priority>
Sets 802.1p priority value for the outgoing and incoming EFM-OAMPDUs in
the range of <0-7>.

Setting the Keep-Alive Interval
The
efm-oam keepalive-interval
command, in Protocol Configuration mode, sets the aging
interval in seconds for the neighboring device that last sent packets. When the neighboring device
does not send a PDU within the defined keep-alive interval, it is considered inoperative.
The
no
form of the command resends the aging interval to its default value.
By default, the aging interval is 5 seconds.
