4.2. Use the
del
command to delete one or more unnecessary files.

NOTE
The switch remains operational while the image is downloaded.
5. Reset the device using one of the
reload
commands. If you are connected to the device
through Telnet, your Telnet session will be disconnected.
6.
After the device reboots, enter the
show version
command to check the version on the
device.
Uploading the Software Image Using TFTP
To upload the software image from the switch to a TFTP server, proceed as follows:
1.
Open the appropriate TFTP directory on the workstation.
2.
Log into the device through the console port or through a Telnet session.
3.
Upload the software image from the device to the TFTP server using the copy application
upload-to command in Privileged (Enable) mode.
