Enabling 802.1x Accounting
The
dot1x accounting
command, in Global Configuration mode, enables 802.1x accounting.
The
no
form of the command disables 802.1x Accounting.
Use the optional
period
argument to enable periodic Interim-Update messages and to set the time
interval in seconds between their transmissions.
By default, Interim-Update messages are disabled.
By default, the 802.1x accounting is disabled.
NOTE
Configuring Dot1x Accounting requires RADIUS Accounting to be enabled before
enabling Dot1x Accounting.
During the accounting, the device sends 802.1x accounting information to the RADIUS server.
NOTE
If the user applies the
dot1x accounting enable
command without the
period
argument after an interim update period has been set, the periodic Interim-Update
messages for authenticated clients are disabled.
Only an Accounting-Stop message will be sent per each user.
NOTE
The
no
form of the
dot1x accounting
command is equivalent to the
dot1x accounting
disable
command.

Enables dot1x authentication sessions accounting.
disable
Disables dot1x authentication sessions accounting.
period
<60-
600>
(Optional). The period between Interim-Update messages in the range <60-
600> seconds.
