Creating a Directory
The
mkdir
command, in Loader or Privileged (Enable) mode, creates a directory in the specified
path with the specified name.
Command Syntax
Loader
>
mkdir PATH
device-name

Argument Description
PATH
The destination path (directory) ending with the new directory that will be
created. The Directory names are case-insensitive.
Deleting a Directory
The
rmdir
command, in Loader or Privileged (Enable) mode, deletes the directory specified by
path and name.

Argument Description
PATH
The path ending with the directory to be deleted. Directory names case-insensitive.
NOTE
Non empty and system directories cannot be removed.
Copying a File
The
copy
command, in Loader or Privileged (Enable) mode, copies a file from TFTP or from the
local flash into the specified path, with the specified name.
This command is equivalent to the
cp
command in all modes.
