Setting Minimum Receive Interval
The
bfd minimum-receive-interval
command, in IP Interface Configuration mode, specifies the
minimum time interval at which the device requests to receive BFD packets from BFD peers.
The
no
form of the command restores the default value of 300 milliseconds.
Command Syntax
device-name
(config-if sw
N
)
#
bfd minimum-receive-interval
<
1-1000
>
device-name
(config-if sw
N
)
#
no bfd minimum-receive-interval
Argument Description
1-1000
Specifies the BFD minimum receive interval in milliseconds.
Example
device-name
(config-if sw10)#
bfd minimum-receive-interval 200
Setting Sending Interval of BFD Packets
The
bfd send-interval
command, in IP Interface Configuration mode, specifies the time period at
which device requests to send BFD packets to BFD peers.
The
no
form of the command restores the default value 100 milliseconds.
Command Syntax
device-name
(config-if sw
N
)
#
bfd send-interval
<
5-1000
>
device-name
(config-if sw
N
)
#
no bfd send-interval
Argument Description
5-1000
Specifies the BFD send-interval in milliseconds.
Example
device-name
(config-if sw10)#
bfd send-interval 200
Setting Multiplier Value
The
bfd multiplier
command, in IP Interface Configuration mode, specifies the number of BFD
packets that must be missed from a BFD peer before the BFD declares that the peer is unavailable.
The
no
form of the command sets the default value of 5.
Command Syntax
device-name
(config-if sw
N
)
#
bfd multiplier
<
2-100
>
device-name
(config-if sw
N
)
#
no bfd multiplier
