Defining the Uplink Ports
The
vpls uplink-ports
command, in Privileged (Enable) mode, defines the uplink ports that will be
used when setting the H-VPLS mode. This command should only be executed when the H-VPLS
mode is disabled.
The
no
form of this command removes the user-defined uplink ports (if any) and reverts to the
default uplink ports.
Command Syntax
device-name
#
vpls uplink-ports UU1/SS1/PP1 UU2/SS2/PP2
device-name

no vpls uplink-ports
Argument Description
UU1/SS1/PP1
Specifies a Unit, Slot and Port, which will be used for uplink.
UU2/SS2/PP2
Specifies a Unit, Slot and Port, which will be used for uplink.
Enabling/Disabling VPLS Revertive Mode
The
vpls revertive-mode
command, in Global configuration node, enables/disables VPLS
revertive mode. Enabling this mode forces VPLS to switch from backup SDPs to primary SDPs
after all primary SDPs are restored.
The
no
form of this command disables this mode. By default this mode is disabled.
NOTE
If there are VPLS instances prevously configured on the switch, VPLS revertive
mode will only take effect for these VPLS instances if they are disabled and enabled
again using the shutdown/no shutdown command. As an alternative to disabling
and enabling the previously configured VPLS instances the switch can be reloaded.
