Commands (Remote MEP)
Parameter
Description
Adm State
Specifies whether CFM packets are received or not.
UP
status indicates that the MEP functions normally. Packets from this
state are received.
DOWN
status indicates that the normal MEP functionality is failed. No
packets are received in the last 3.5 *CCM lifetime interval.
Oper state
Defines the state of the port attached to the MEP.
DOWN
status indicates that at least one of the remote MEPs
configured to this MEP is failed. CFM PDUs will not be received.
UP
status indicates that MEP functions normally. CFM PDUs are
being received.
BLOCK
status indicates that the remote port is blocked by the XSTP
protocol.
TEST
status indicates that remote port ifOperStatus is TEST (perhaps
due to an IEEE Std. 802.3ah OAM intrusive loopback operation).
NoDAT
status indicates that no data and no CFM Messages have been
received for an excessive length of time.
Note that the MEP ID is unique per MA.
Sending Linktrace Messages
The
cfm linktrace
command, in Privileged (Enable) mode, sends a linktrace message to a
specified MEP in the domain.
For the
cfm linktrace
command to take effect, CFM should first be enabled in the Protocol
Configuration mode. Otherwise, the “%CFM not active” error message will be displayed.
