calculate paths in the network that satisfy the administrative constraints. MPLS can then set up
LSPs along these paths.
Table 8
lists the commands used to confugure the OSPF -TE parameters.
Table 8: OSPF -TE Commands
Command
Description
opaque capability
Enables a new class of link-state advertisements (LSA) called
Opaque LSAs.
traffic-engineering
router-address
Enables the OSPF traffic engineering.
show ip ospf database
opaque
Displays lists of information related to the OSPF-TE database
for a specific router.
Enabling Opaque Support
The
opaque capability
command, in GlobalConfiguration mode, enables a new class of link-state
advertisements (LSA) called Opaque LSAs. The Opaque LSAs are used by the OSPF-TE to
exchange information. The
no
form of the command disables the opaque option.
By default, the opaque option is enabled.

Specifying OSPF-TE Router Address
The
traffic-engineering router-address
command, in Global Configuration mode, specifies the
address of a stable router interface as the router ID of the node for traffic engineering purposes.
The selected router will be specified as traffuc engineering capable. The
no
form of the command
removes the interface as a TE router.

Displaying OSPF-TE Parameters and Statistics
The

command, in Priviliged (Enable) mode, displays lists of
information related to the OSPF-TE database for a specific router.
