secure-saps
Secures user access ports so that no traffic can be exchanged
between them.
vc-type
Changes the encapsulation type used in SDPs of a specific VPLS
instance.
revert-timer
Specifies the amount of time (in seconds) that the LSP must wait
before it can revert traffic back to a primary path (SDP).
spoke-sdp
Defines a dynamic SDP (service distribution path) for the specified
VPLS instance.
spoke-sdp static
Defines a static SDP (service distribution path) for the specified
VPLS instance.
spoke-sdp
description
Assigns description to the primary or backup spoke.
shutdown
Disables the specified VPLS service.
customer name
Stores general text information regarding the customer.
description
Stores a description for a specified VLL/ VPLS VPN.
path-mtu
Sets MTU value.
Configuring a New VPLS or VLL VPN
The
vpls
command, in Global Configuration mode, creates a specific VPLS instance.
The
no
form of this command removes an existing VPLS instance.

Argument Description
ID
Specifies the string identifier of the VPN instance. The string contains only
numeric characters in the range <1-2147483647>.
Setup VC ID for this VPLS Instance
The
def-vc-id
command, in VPLS configuration mode, sets the Virtual Circuit (VC) ID, which is
used for the VPLS instance.
LDP uses VC ID to negotiate ingress and egress VC labels. The VC labels are inserted in the user
packets and used as a service delimiter.
