DMR HEATER CURRENT MANAGEMENT
7-1
Reading Tube Spit Number
To read the tube arcing number stored in the DMR, connect the Mammocom tool (see Section "
Mammo-
com - How to...
" in the SIP-M and go to the following menus as described in the following Illustration.
This menu provides the general counters: exposure counters by exposure mode and, at the bottom, the
tube arcing number.
7-2
Information on the DMR heater current behavior
•
The DMR regulates the tube heater current all along the day, based on the last heater current applied
during exposure for the given Focal Spot/Track/kV triplet.
•
Then, the DMR continuously refreshes heater current for a given triplet.
•
If you make an exposure using a cold tube (could be in the morning), you set the heater current for a
cold tube for the selected triplet that may not be suitable for a hot tube. As a result, in order to reach
the expected mA value, the DMR sets up the heater current faster, which may cause tube arcing for
an aged tube.
