Analog 2MC (Analog Media Converter)

Internal PHE module can be initialized with ADPM command. The behaviors of each operation are
below.
Module reset:
Regenerate module after disconnection of PHE port. Connections with IP terminals
are maintained.
Module initialization: Regenerate module after disconnection of PHE port.
Clear the terminal and transmitting control information controlled by PHE.
IP terminals are re-registered and current active calla are disconnected.

Internal PHE controls each IP client using TCP/IP port of the Telephony Server (used in connection with
PC pro. IP address of PHE is the same as that of TCP/IP port of the Telephony Server. Default port num-
ber of PHE is 60130. The IP address and port number are assigned by ADTM command. To activate the
modified data, initialize the Internal PHE.

To control each IP client, Internal PHE uses UDP/IP packet that ALOCL command assigns to LOC-ID=0.

VLAN function is not available for Internal PHE. To set up VLAN, use network equipment.

Internal PHE can control up to 6144 ports.
Note:
The above maximum port number is the same as maximum capacity of a system.

Use ALIDL command for Internal PHE data assignment. This assignment require a group regardless its
maximum allowable number.

2MC supports PB only.
10. Use DISD command to display the registration status of 2MC. And it is also possible to send soft reset
packet to registered 2MC by the command. For more detail, refer to Chapter 7 Maintenance Commands of
Operations and Maintenance Manual.
11. The system issues the messages respectively to the following error status:
•
Error status is “Warning”; 33-R IP PKG Warning
•
Error status is “Failure”; 33-S IP PKG Failure
•
Error status is “Restore”; 33-T IP PKG Restore
12. Modem connection using 2MC is not supported.
13. If connection to the Telephony Server is lost due to problems such as network failure, 2MC cannot
exchange tone control signals. Thus no tone is heard on an analog telephone connected to the 2MC when
it goes off-hook.
