4.4 Operation and Maintenance
4.4.1 How to Back Up and Restore Config Data by Serial Connection (Local Download)
This config download/upload is performed one by one, connecting a PC to each Analog 2MC with a
RS-232C and a LAN cable.Prepare the following:
- RS-232C cable is required.
- LAN cable (crossover) is required for restoring config data.
- Serial terminal emulation program (such as HyperTerminal) is required
- PCPro has to be installed in advance.
• Backing Up Config Data By Serial Connection
STEP 1
Power off Analog 2MC and disconnect it from the network.
STEP 2
Connect PC to Analog 2MC by using RS-232C cable.
STEP 3
Power on Analog 2MC.
STEP 4
Activate HyperTerminal and set the following:
Bit per second:9600bps
Data bits:8bit
Parity:None
Stop bit:1bit
Flow control:None
STEP 5
Select [Transfer] -> [Capture File...] .
STEP 6
Send File screen is displayed. Specify a file name to be saved, and then click the Start button.
STEP 7
After a prompt (

) is displayed, enter “
usrConsole
”.
STEP 8
After a prompt (
2A-MC>
) is displayed, enter “
show config
” to display configuration data
of Analog 2MC.
STEP 9
Select [Transfer] -> [Capture Text] -> [Stop] to save the config file shown in screen.
