CONFIGURATION SETUP
STEP 4: Select “2. Enable” radio button (DHCP is enabled). Click the “OK” button.
STEP 5: Depending on the way to specify SIP server, perform either of the following:
a. When SIP server is specified by IP address via DHCP:
→
Go to STEP 8.
b. When SIP server is specified by FQDN via DHCP:
→
Go to STEP 6.
If DHCP option 162 (information of SIP server which DT700 Series connected to) specifies SIP
server by FQDN instead of IP address, it is necessary to perform either of the following:
- Obtain DNS server’s IP address from the DHCP server.
- Assign DNS server’s IP address on DT700 Series configuration setting.
When not necessary to assign DNS server’s IP address on configuration setting, STEP 8.
STEP 6: Select [Network Settings]
→
[DNS Address].
STEP 7: Enter the IP address of DNS server. Click the “OK” button.
STEP 8: Select [SIP Settings]
→
[Server Address URI]
→
[1st Server Address].
a. To specify SIP server by IP address:
Assign the IP address of SIP server, and then click the “OK” button.
b. To specify SIP server by FQDN:
Assign fully qualified domain name of SIP server, and then click the “OK” button. 0-9, A-Z, a-z, *,
#, . (period), - (hyphen), and _(underscore) is available to use for domain name entry (maximum
128 characters).
Note:
DNS server’s assignment is necessary when using fully qualified domain name. See “IP Address Setting for
DNS Server” for details.
Note 1:
About IP address of SIP server (Telephony Server), refer to “Registration Destination of IP Devices/Sta-
tions” in INTRODUCTION of Installation Manual.
STEP 9: If there are backup SIP servers in the network, continue assigning 2nd, 3rd and 4th SIP server.
- Click [2nd Server Address] to assign the second SIP server.
- Click [3rd Server Address] to assign the third SIP server.
- Click [4th Server Address] to assign the fourth SIP server.
STEP 10: As in STEP 8, specify the SIP server by IP address or FQDN. Click the “OK” button after assigning
the data.
STEP 11: Click the “Save” button. After setting is complete, SIP server begins setup for DT700 Series.
Note:
In the following instances, the terminal will display an error message.
- SIP server does not exist in the network
- Connection to SIP server could not be established since the user assigned an incorrect value.
- Connection to DHCP Server could not be established since the user assigned an incorrect value
If the above occurs, perform one of the following:
- Reassign data settings
- Connect SIP server to the network.
