Check the Alarm Lamps. If the red lamp lights, search the cause of fault and perform the appropriate
operations.

Check the system message.
1. Display the system message using DFTD command.
2. See the system message and confirm whether MG-COT Card error occurs or not. If some error has
occurs, perform the fault repair. ([33-R IP PKG Warning], [33-S IP PKG Failure], [33-T IP PKG Re-
store])

PFT Switching Test
The test procedure of PFT function change is described below. PFT function is described in Power Failure
Transfer (PFT) in this section.

4. Go to the Speech Test. Are Call Originations and Incoming Calls between terminals processing normally? Is speech quality okay?
Confirm the system message of MGC.
Is MG connected to PSTN physically?
Is PFT connected to analog terminal physically?
- Confirm the line cable between MDF and MG-COT.
Test the continuity in the line cable.
Confirm the data of MGC and MG-COT.
Confirm the contract status of analog line.
All the channels are vacant. Confirm the office data setting.
TEL or LINE 0-5 is used.
Flash slowly: Initialization has not completed. Confirm the office data setting.
Flash rapidly: Assigned to Make-Busy. Confirm the office data setting.

If the lamp is lighting when the LINE is not in use, check the line cable.
Note 2:
If the lamp goes off when disconnecting the line cable (after approximately 3 seconds), check the following.
- Make sure that the cable is 'Straight-through Cable'.
- Make sure that the polarity of the line is not reversed
