CONFIGURATION SETUP
Precautions before starting IP Enabled Dterm Operation and the Configuration Data Setting
Before starting DtermIP/IP Enabled Dterm operation and the data setting, be sure to read the following precau-
tions.

Observe the following while the display is indicating “DHCP Connecting...” or
“DRS (1st/2nd/3rd/4th) Connecting...”. If one of the following is not observed,
the terminal cannot start up normally.
•
Do not turn off the power of the DtermIP/IP Enabled Dterm, the Telephony Server, DHCP server. This in-
cludes the server service stop.
•
Do not unplug or plug the LAN cable connecting to the DtermIP/IP Enabled Dterm, the Telephony Server,
DHCP server.
•
Do not turn off the power of the HUB connecting to the DtermIP/ IP Enabled Dterm, the Telephony Server,
DHCP server.

When trying to set up a DtermIP/IP Enabled Dterm with another DRS after having connected to a former
DRS be sure to perform “Software Reset” from “Config Menu” -> “Administrator Menu” -> “6. Soft
Reset.”
DHCP Connecting...

Observe the following while DtermIP/IP Enabled Dterm is downloading data.
The display of DtermIP/IP Enabled Dterm indicates “Downloading...” while
downloading data. If one of the following is not observed, the terminal cannot
start up normally.
•
Do not turn off the power of the Telephony Server, DHCP server, FTP (TFTP) server. This includes the server
service stop.
•
Do not unplug or plug the LAN cable connecting to the DtermIP/IP Enabled Dterm, the Telephony Server,
DHCP server, FTP (TFTP) server.
•
Do not turn off the power of the HUB connecting to the DtermIP/IP Enabled Dterm, the Telephony Server,
DHCP server, FTP (TFTP) server.

When the download is performed, the data assigned to each parameter of the Configuration Menu is set to
the default setting (factory value). Please note the setting for each in advance.
