The diagonal support for the treads and risers in a staircase. See

structural column
A column that supports a vertical load in addition to its own weight.

subcategory
For a subcomponent of a family, a property that defines its display (the line weight, line color,
and line pattern). For example, you can assign one subcategory to the wood trim of a window and another
subcategory to the glass.
