4. MAINTENANCE
4.1 Checking the Performance and Specifications
Performance checking method is explained here.
4.1.1 Preparation of Items
The following items are required for performance check.
(1) Component Units of Liquid Chromatography System
•
Pump (Chromaster 5110 or equivalent)
•
Detector (Chromaster 5410 or equivalent)
•
Oven (Chromaster 5310 or equivalent)
•
Data processing unit
•
Waste solution bottle
NOTE : Use the degassing unit for deaerating a mobile
phase and a washing solution constantly.
If the mobile phase and the washing solution are
not deaerated sufficiently, the full performance of
this instrument may not be attained.
NOTE : Set the washing solution bottle at a position higher
than the autosampler. If it is placed at a position
lower than the autosampler, a negative pressure
may be produced in the piping to form air bubbles
in the syringe, disabling achievement of the full
performance of the autosampler.
(2) Items for Performance Check
•
Load resistance coil
A coiled stainless pipe having an inner diameter of 0.25
mm and a length of 20 m (a coiled Teflon tube applicable
for Chromaster 5410 UV detector)
•
Methanol in about 1000 mL
•
Distilled water in about 500 mL
