(6) Start the pump to fill the flow paths in the pump and
autosampler with liquid. Before a new connection to the
column, fill the flow path with the mobile phase, and then
connect a tube in order to prevent air bubbles from entering
the column. And connect the column after making sure
the tube up to the column is filled with the mobile phase.
(7) After the mobile phase has reached the injection valve of
the autosampler, turn on power supply to the autosampler.
Avoid switching the injection valve before the mobile phase
reaches it, otherwise the valve seal might be damaged.
(8) Press
the
FUNC
key of the autosampler, and select
WPUMP
to fill the flow path to the syringe valve with wash
fluid. (When two wash fluids are used, replace the wash
fluid2 side with fresh one). Then, make sure that there are
no air bubbles in the pipe from the wash pump to the
syringe valve.
(9) Press
the
FUNC
key of the autosampler, and select
SPURGE
to fill the syringe with wash fluid.
Then, make sure that there are no air bubbles in the
syringe and port4 of the syringe valve discharges waste
solution.
(10) Press the
WASH
key of the autosampler, and select
NEEDLE
side to fill the needle and the injection port with
wash fluid1. (When two wash fluids are used, replace the
wash fluid2 side with fresh one).
Then, make sure that the detergent flows normally, there
are no leaks and the waste solution runs into the waste
bottle.
(11) Press the
WASH
key of the autosampler, and select
PORT
side to fill the wash port with wash fluid1.
Then, make sure that the detergent flows normally, there
are no leaks and the waste solution runs into the waste
bottle.
NOTE
: Avoid using unsuitable wash fluids for the autosamper
according to 3.4.1 (3). If an unsuitable wash fluid is
used, it may cause degradation in performance or
shorter service life.
