33.Gratuitous ARP Commands
ARP (Address Resolution Protocol) is used to calculate a MAC address
from an IP address if the destination MAC address is unknown.
Gratuitous ARP is a special ARP packet sent when an IP interface is
booted, sending an inquiry by setting its own IP address instead of the
destination IP address. If other device responds to Gratuitous ARP, it
means the IP address is duplicated.
