Specify a password for outgoing FTP connections.

ip ftp password [
encryption-type
]
password
To remove a password and return to the default setting, use the
no ip ftp
password [
password
]
command.
Parameters
encryption-
type
(OPTIONAL) Enter one of the following numbers:
•
0
(zero) for an unecrypted (clear text) password
•
7
(seven) for a hidden text password
password
Enter a string up to 40 characters as the password.
