2 Click Modelling menu

Stairs, or on the Modelling tab of the Design Bar, click Stairs.
3 Click Set Work Plane on the Design Bar to select a different work plane. See Sketching and Work
Planes on page 265.
4 On the Design Bar, click Run, and then click in the drawing area where you want to start the
stairs.
5 Move the cursor to set the angle for the stair footprint.
6 To create a straight run of stairs, click outside the rectangle on the end away from the start point.
7 To create a jogged set of stairs, click for the end of the first run, move the cursor, and click the
start and end points for the second run.
Continue this process if there is more than one jog.
8 Edit the footprint, if desired.
9 To change the properties of the stairs, click , and click Edit/New.

10 On the Design Bar, click Finish Sketch.
Revit Architecture generates a staircase with automatic railings.

Creating Spiral Staircases
1 Open a plan or 3D view.
2 Click Modelling menu

4 On the Options bar, click .
5 In the drawing area, click to select a center point for the spiral.
6 Click a start point.
7 Click an end point to complete the spiral.
