Selecting and Receiving i-mode Mail

When mail is delivered to the i-mode center, you can check the subject, etc. and select
to receive only certain mail items. You can also delete unnecessary items without
receiving them.
•
You must turn Receive Option on to select and receive mail (see p.379).
When the i-mode center receives a new mail item, your mova is notified and the
screen on the left appears. The i-mode center stores the mail.
•
The mail ringtone does not sound. The mova does not vibrate regardless of
whether Manner Mode or Vibrator has been set.
When mail is delivered
When Receive Option is on, mail delivered to your mova is stored at the i-mode
center. Your mova is notified that you have mail waiting.
If unread received mail or Messages are stored in your mova, the number of items is
displayed. Select previously received mail or Messages to display them (see p.334, 309).

Without any action, the “ left in center” message remains on the screen as it is. However, if the mova is
turned off or an i-
α
ppli application is auto-started, the message screen closes and appears in the
Standby screen. (When the mova is closed, appears in the Inspiration window.)
•
When Receive Option is on, the i-mode center storage status is not indicated by a mail icon even if there is
mail at the i-mode center.
•
If you do not receive mail from the i-mode center and the maximum storage period elapses, the mail is
deleted. In addition, when the maximum storage item is reached, the i-mode center no longer accepts new
mail. For the maximum number of mail items and length of time they can be stored at the i-mode center,
see p.320.
•
You can receive all mail items by executing Check New Message (see p.338).
•
When mail is received, it is recorded in the Inmail history (see p.359).
