Recording the Caller’s Message When You Cannot Answer a Call (continued)
The answer message is played back when the phone rings and a call is received.
•
The time until the message is played back can be adjusted (see p.83).
A beep sound announces the end of the answer message, and recording starts.
•
During recording, the caller’s voice can be heard in the earpiece.
•
You can press
to answer the call while the answer message is being played
back or during recording.
You can press the Any Key Answer function key to answer the call (see p.62).
•
The recording stops automatically when the maximum time allotted to recording
has elapsed (approx. 1 minute in total).
A beep sounds when the recording is completed, and the call ends.
•
Do one of the following after setting the Record Message function to “1. preset message” or “2. own
message”:
•
Set Ring Volume to “level 0”.
•
Set the ringtone to “silent” in the Sound setting.
•
Set the Record message shift time to 0 second (the other party does not hear a ring back tone and an
answer message is directly played back).
•
If you set Record Message of Manner Mode Selection to “yes”, Ring Volume to “level 0” and turn Manner
Mode on, you can record a message without setting the Record Message function.
Recording a message without sounding the ringtone
•
This function cannot be used when an incoming call is received during a call.
•
The recording may be interrupted when the signal is too weak.
•
While the caller is recording a message, you may hear the caller’s voice in the earpiece when the caller
speaks in a loud voice. In such a case you cannot adjust the earpiece volume.
•
When a recorded message cannot be recorded while the “
” appears, and Quick Record Message is
used to answer an incoming call, a previously recorded message is overwritten.
•
When Drive Mode is set simultaneously, the Record Message function does not work.
