Select “1.close operation” and press (select).
End the call

Select the operation to be performed when you close the mova and press
(select).
Close Operation is set.
Put the call on hold and play a preset message in Japanese.
Put the call on hold and play the message you recorded by yourself
Put the call on hold. The caller does not hear anything.
•
If you close the mova during a call, the call ends.
•
If Close Operation is set to “end call”, some operations quit when you close the mova during following
operation as well as during a call. The information in brackets describes what happens when the mova is
closed:
•
When dialing → [dialing is canceled]
•
During playback of answer message → [call ends]
•
During recording of a Record message
→
[call ends]
•
When dialing during a call
→
[dialing is canceled]*
•
When receiving during a call → [a current call ends]
•
During Three-way (change) call
→
[a current call ends]*
•
During Three-way (simultaneous) call → [call ends]
* After the information in brackets happens, the ringtone sounds indicating that there is an on hold call.

In the following cases, “end call” by Close Operation is invalid:
•
During receiving a call
•
During on hold*
•
During i-mode communication
•
Sending i-shot mail
•
Sending Short Mail
•
During data communication/fax communication
•
When connecting a DC adapter or car-mounted adapter with Hands-free is on
•
During i-mode operation while connected to an i-mode compatible car navigation system or
“PlayStation”
* Callers are kept connected on hold when you close the mova. Even when the mova is closed, if you set
a “talking” color in the Illumination setting, you can check with the flashing of the illumination that the call
is on hold.
About the operation to be performed when Close Operation is set to “end call”

If you close the mova during a call, the call is put on hold. When you open the mova or connect a switch-
equipped earphone/microphone, hold is canceled and back to a call.

In the following cases, “hold” by Close Operation is invalid:
•
During dialing a call
•
During receiving a call
•
During Answer Hold 1
•
During playback an answer message
•
During recording a caller’s message or an In-call Voice memo
•
During playback of Remote Lock announcement.
•
When sending i-shot mail
•
When sending Short Mail
•
When dialing during a call
•
During data communication/fax communication
•
When connecting a switch-equipped earphone/microphone 2
•
When connecting a DC adapter or car-mounted adapter with Hands-free is on
•
During i-mode operation while connected to an i-mode compatible car navigation system or
“PlayStation”.
1. Callers are kept connected on hold when you close the mova.
2. The call is put on hold if you pull out the switch-equipped earphone/microphone.
