Protecting images or video clips

Select an image or a video clip in the picture list or title list, and select
“protect” from the submenu.
•
Maximum number of protected items
:
camera album - 1,000; movie album - 200;
import album - 500
•
The images in “preset album” are set not to be deleted by default. You cannot set them,
however as protected.
Deleting images or video clips
•
The images in “preset album” cannot be deleted.
•
If images or video clips are protected, cancel the protection before deleting them.

Select an image or a video clip in the picture list or title list, and select “delete
one” from the submenu.
•
This operation can also be performed from the image display screen or the video display screen.
•
Alternatively, you can press and hold down
to delete it.

To select and delete more than one image or video clip

In the picture list or title list, select “DEL selected” from the submenu.

Select one or more images or video clips and press
(select).
• You can select more than one image or video clip.
• To cancel your selection, select the image or video clip you have selected and press
(REL).
• A prompt appears when you select an image or a video clip that is set to the Standby
screen, Visual Partner, Inspiration window, menu icons, Phonebook, Own Number Display
screen, Private diary, or sent/unsent mail (i-shot mail). To delete, select “YES” and press
(select). To cancel the deletion, select “NO”.

Press (decide).
Proceed to Step 2.

To delete all images and video clips in a folder
Protected images are left as they are.

In the picture list or title list, select “DEL in FLD” from the submenu.
Proceed to Step 2.
• Alternatively, you can perform this operation from the folder list. When deleting from the
folder list, select a folder and select “DEL in FLD” from the submenu. When you have
selected a folder set as secret, enter your 4-digit terminal ID number.
The image or video clip is protected and the icon changes to the one with
attached.
•
This operation can also be performed from the image display screen or the
video display screen.
•
To cancel protection, select the protected image and select “unprotect” from
the submenu.
