To delete all the characters and leave the entry field blank, delete all the characters in the character
entry screen and press
(fix).

While correcting in the character entry screen, if you want to return characters to the ones before
correction (fixed), delete all the characters and press
.
Deleting a character string
Move the cursor to the first character of the string
you want to delete, and press and hold
.
All the characters after the cursor are deleted.

When there is no character after the cursor, all
characters in the character entry screen are
deleted.

Entering double-byte kanji, hiragana, and katakana characters
The kanji mode allows you to enter double-byte characters such as hiragana, kanji,
katakana, symbols (“
？
”, etc.). To enter kanji and katakana, enter the reading in
hiragana first and convert. You can convert in a single operation Japanese
expressions and sentences that consist of multiple phrases.
Entering “ 鈴木順子 ”

When Predictive Conversion is set to “refer history”, you can enter characters using Predictive
Conversion (see p.565).

If you make a mistake, use to delete the character, and reenter the correct one.

To insert spaces between characters, convert them and fix the text then press .

In the following cases, it is not necessary to move the cursor even if the characters are assigned
to the same key:
・ When is pressed after a character that can be followed by a dakuten (
゛
) or handakuten
( ゜ ) mark
・ When is used to search entries in the conversion list
・
When is pressed to convert the character from uppercase to lowercase and vise versa.
•
When a different key is pressed while entering characters, the cursor moves automatically.
•
When is pressed, characters are displayed in reverse order (see p.560).
