Confirming the saved contents of Phonebook entries

Select a party from the Phonebook search results, and select
(details).

•
To display the saved contents such as phone numbers, mail
addresses, or addresses, use
to select the appropriate tab.
•
You can dial by selecting a phone number and pressing either
or
(call). If you select “ADDNL no.” from the
submenu, you can decide whether to include your Caller ID
information before dialing (see p.48).
•
You can compose mail by selecting a mail address and pressing
or
(compose). You can also compose mail by selecting
“compose message” from the submenu (see p.330).
Edit Phonebook Entry
Editing Phonebook Entries
You can edit the saved contents of Phonebook entries.
•
Entries cannot be corrected in the following cases. Cancel the setting before correcting.

When Phonebook Access Lock is set
・
When Phonebook Store Lock is set
・
When Keydial Lock is set
•
When Phonebook Delete Lock is set, data cannot overwrite the same memory number or the
memory number of another saved item. Data can be saved in empty memory numbers.
•
Parties whose entries are stored in Secret memory or specified for Accept Calls/Reject Calls
cannot be overwritten.

Select a Phonebook entry from the Phonebook search results, and select “edit”
from the submenu.

This operation can also be performed from the Phonebook details screen.

Edit the contents.

Saving entries (see p.88)

If you edit “name”, “reading” must also be changed.
•
The icon may change according to the type of phone number or mail address.
•
Change the memory number when you save the edited data in a different person’s entry.

To cancel the operation

Press (return).

Select “NO” and press
(select).

Press (store).
•
When the memory number is changed to another unused number, the entry is saved as a
different entry and the Standby screen appears.

Select “YES” and press
(select).
The Phonebook entry is overwritten.
•
To cancel the operation, select “NO”.
•
When “phone 1”, “phone 2”, “
1” or “
2” is deleted in an entry that has multiple phone
numbers or mail addresses, the number of the “phone no.” field or “
” field is later
automatically moved up.
•
To edit parties stored in Secret memory, recall the parties using Secret search (see p.109).
