When an error occurs while displaying the i- α ppli Standby screen, a prompt asking whether to release the i- α ppli
Standby screen appears. Select “YES” to release and press (select). To restart the i-
α
ppli Standby
screen without releasing, select “NO”. (The i- α ppli Standby screen is automatically restarted when nothing
operation is performed for about 3 seconds.)
when the i-
α ppli Standby screen is closed due to an error, a Standby error log entry is recorded in your
mova. Use the following steps to display the Standby error log:

In standby, select “i- α ppli” “i- α ppli record” “S-by error log” from the menu.
The error log appears. (The error log contains the name of the i-
α
ppli and the date and time when the
i- α ppli ended.)

Check the error log and press (OK).

You can clear the Standby error log by pressing (clear).
•
An error that does not terminate the i-
α
ppli Standby screen is not recorded in the error log. No data is
recorded in the error log when the i-
α
ppli Standby screen is closed or released due to a cause other than
an error.
•
When the i-
α
ppli Standby Screen setting is released by a Security error, it is not recorded in the Standby
error log. It is, however, recorded in the Security error log.

When you set the i-
α
ppli Standby screen, depending on the application, the continuous call/communication
time and continuous Standby time may become shorter.
•
When Use Icon Information of the i-
α
ppli Standby screen is set to “yes”, because icon information is sent
to the information service provider via the Internet it could be intercepted by third parties.

[Set Standby Clock Display]
Setting how to display the Standby clock
•
When the application displays the time, set to “no display” to prevent dual clock displays.
•
This setting does not change the clock display when the i- α ppli Standby screen is not
displayed.

You can also display the i-

ppli menu by pressing twice while in standby.
•
Alternatively, you can select “setting” “set i-
α
ppli” from the menu.

You can also select “S-by clock” from the submenu in the software list during the i- α ppli Standby
Screen setting.

Select “1.12h display”, “2.24h display”, or “3.no display” and press
(select).
The Standby clock display is set.
